MoneyMaster Payment Service Bank Limited
(MMPSB), Nigeria’s top payment service bank, is commemorating the 2024 Global
Money Week by focusing on educating youngsters on financial literacy.
This year’s edition of the Global Money
Week is being held from March 18 to 24, 2024. The goal of Global Money Week
(GMW) is to raise awareness about the value of making sure that young people
are financially literate from an early age and gradually acquire the skills,
knowledge, attitudes, and behaviour needed to make wise financial decisions and
eventually achieve financial well-being.
The focus of the 2024 edition:
"Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future," is responsible money
handling. It emphasizes how crucial it is to handle personal finance
responsibly and intelligently by guarding one's hard-earned money and being
aware of any potential hazards in the financial industry.
MMPSB is embarking on a “Catch them Young”
experiential campaign to teach kids in schools the importance of savings and
investment culture. About 5,000 students are to be engaged through the
week-long financial literacy programme which will be done through the bank’s
coordinating centres across 10 states.
In addition, the MoneyMaster team will also
engage teachers and enlighten them on basic knowledge of savings and investment
for future purposes.
“As part of the week-long celebration,
MoneyMaster PSB will also be releasing thought leadership videos on safety and
security on how banking customers can protect themselves. These videos will be
shared to its customers via direct email and also on its social media handles
for the benefit of the general public,” the bank explained.
MMPSB restated its commitment to the
provision of top-notch banking services to its customers at all times,
including payment services through wallets, savings, individual and business
accounts, as well as provision of a platform for customers to buy airtime/data,
pay bills and subscribe to cable television, among others.
